I would replace the two regulator transistors, Q1 and 2, on the regulator board; this board has 5 fuses on it (check those). The transistors are 2SD313; if you can't find those you can use NTE175. I prefered it's sound quality (and looks/style) over the later SX-650. A friend and I compared early Pioneer and higher wattaged Yamaha separates using nice early 70's speaks (KLH Model Fives) last night.
